Spring 2010

We're putting the finishing touches on Ursa Minor for the 2010 season.

Over the winter I rebuilt the boom out haul system with help from Nan Hall at Hall Spars. Nan dug out of their files the original drawings and parts list to ease the work, thanks Nan!

We put the original rudder to rest after last season due to a severe skin delamination and post electrolysis. The new rudder will be a definite improvement. Thanks Peter Ross for the new rudder!

The fine paint crew at Mystic Shipyard is putting a new VC Offshore finish on the bottom including refairing the keel. Thanks Tim Porter and crew!

We received this fantastic photo from Roland Shultz of Hap & Howie racing the Atlantic Class "Aerial Toy" off Larchmont Yacht Club.

Capt'n thinks the photo was taken during the WWII era. That would make this circa '40's? Does anyone know? Truly an amazing photo for us to enjoy! Who is the guy sitting in front of Hap?
